"Many people are not getting the calcium they need to grow and maintain healthy bones. Adults need anywhere between 1000-1300 mg per day. One cup of milk provides about 300 mg. Calcium supplements are available but getting your daily intake through food/drink is preferable to supplementation because of a better absorption rate. Milk is a good source of Vitamin D as well which helps your body to absorb the calcium it is getting. Hartzler's, because they process their milk minimally, preserves the vitamins and nutrients in the milk allowing for optimal absorption for your body."

I’ve always respected Hartzler’s Dairy and their products, but have to admit their claim that people with lactose intolerance can drink their milk without distressing gastrointestinal symptoms left me skeptical.   When my one year old son was introduced to store brand milk and dairy products, he had an immediate reaction of throwing up.  We tried many other alternatives, but one day he was inadvertently served Hartzler’s Ice Cream and had no adverse effects.  With amazement, we began giving him Hartzler’s milk and felt such relief to find a wholesome product that we could provide to help nourish our growing toddler.  It has revolutionized his diet and we even bring Hartzler’s milk with us when we travel.   I now agree with the claims Hartzler’s Dairy makes regarding their products and encourage my patients with similar problems to try Hartzler’s milk.

“My family and I ...have found your products to be extremely high quality, very nutritious and exceptionally good tasting.... I wholeheartedly recommend them to patients, family, and friends.”

“Unhomogenized milk, such as Hartzler’s, leaves the milk-fat molecules untouched and in their natural state enabling nutrients to be delivered wherever they are needed in the body. Hartzler’s milk is also absolutely delicious, and I much prefer the taste over milk that has been highly processed.”

“I commend Hartzler Family Dairy for the gentle method they use in processing their milk, which preserves the vital nutrients essential for long term osteoporosis prevention for my patients. We are truly blessed in Northeastern Ohio to have a dairy willing to produce milk that is a step above all others when it comes to our health.”

“Hartzler’s milk is more nutritious from the start because their dairy cows are primarily fed on pasture, and grass-fed cows provide milk with a much higher concentration of beta-carotene and essential Omega-3 fatty acids, which have been shown to fight cancer. Pasture-raised animals in general, provide much more health benefits than animals fed on grains and other feed that is often grown with pesticides.”
